Well, the weekend is here and it’s time to celebrate. This playlist is special because I’ve never had an occasion to dedicate a playlist to anyone in particular. It’s called “Weekend Bliss”, and it’s dedicated to my brother, Poorman A. Blackstar. He and his wife, and some friends are headed to their very own “weekend bliss” – hitting the road for a quick weekend voyage. For a lot of us, it’s sometimes difficult to make a carefree weekend come to fruition, and that includes my brother and his wife, Sabine. Therefore, when those amongst us have an opportunity to slip away, it’s totally cause for celebration.
I divided this playlist into three parts: first, the morning start (wake-up music from my gym playlist) as they hit the road; secondly, a bit of a slowdown for the late lunch hour, and lastly, it tops off with some chill tunes for sunset viewing. If you’ve been here before, then I’m sure you’re familiar with that elusive, yet ubiquitous “play button”. The play button here represents a goodbye to stress as the music flows. What makes this a special playlist is the fact that I hereby declare that my brother is my “play button”. We get together and he sets it all in motion. We’re slow to make plans and he puts an end to procrastination and makes it all happen. I could spend hours on end listening to him play the piano as if he’s been doing it for forever. I found a song a while back that I really like, one that I have urged him to learn so that I can hear him play it. It’s on this playlist, of course. It’s called “By Nature”, by Von Mondo. So, listen to it with him and help make it happen. BTW, bro – make it a red, and make it a “15”! Get him to be my “play button”. Speaking of which, it’s that time – find that ubiquitous “play button”, hit it, and enjoy!!
