Meet Von Mondo, a rather superb pianist who, in his own words, is “happiest when he is creating that holiest of fusions: house tango jazz”. His signature sound is mellow and that’s right up my alley. My personal favorites are his scats – “Test Me” and “Slow Scat”, but everything about him makes for happy ears. Not certain who the woman is who scats on “Slow Scat”, but her “scat skills” are fabulous (apologies in advance if it happens to be a man!). I suspect that an overabundance of words would bore you, so hit that play button and get to groovin’!
