Duel Of The Guitars

Imagine, if you will, all of the great jazz guitarists competing for that number one spot in the hearts of their fans.  Picking one over all of the rest?  Not a task that I care to undertake.  I could probably narrow it down to a short list – short list being as long as my arm.  Carlos Santana, Wes Montgomery, Peter White, Chris Standring, Marc Antoine, Earl Klugh, Chuck Loeb, George Benson, Larry Carlton, Norman Brown .  .  .  such a long and “who’s who-ish” list.  I started with Marc Antoine because he is one of the first jazz guitarists that I actually gravitated towards.  From a very young age, I truly grew up listening to the likes of George Benson and Wes Montgomery, so the task gets harder as the years go by.  However, it wasn’t until many, many years had passed before I REALLY took a liking to jazz guitarists.  I won’t keep you, though.  I know you have things to do, so grab a bottle of red and hit that “play button” and get on with your day (and don’t forget to get cozy).  Happy Friday, gang!!

Jazz, jazz, and nothing but jazz. Most of the time, at any rate.
