Alright, you sleepyheads – up and at ’em!! I know this is your favorite day of the week. Yes – I lie. Not to worry – I have another set of 100 songs to get you through the dreaded Monday Morning Blues. This is a little something to give you the best of two worlds – dancing at your desk and chilling for moment or two. Just look over your shoulder now and again, to make certain that the boss isn’t stalking you.
Like most of the playlists that I curate, this one is a veritable Who’s Who of the jazz and lounge arenas, a little something for everyone. There’s fast, there’s slow, and a bit of everything in between: Mo’jardo, Christophe Goze, Nighthawks, Digby Jones, Blank & Jones, Phillippe Cretien, just to name a few, and (believe it or not) The Rolling Stones. Yeah, it’s happening, so deal with it (The Neptunes stepped ALL over this one)! I bring your attention to two of my favorite stars of the jazz world – Paul Hardcastle, and Naoki Kenji. These two never fail to captivate my ears, and just when I think that I’ve heard it all, they hit me with something new to satiate my musical thirst.
